Job Summary

The position provides technical, design, and pre-operational support across design and interior design standards for hospitality project developments. Ensuring projects maintain brand compliance, spatial efficiency, and long-term operational durability while adhering to timeline and budget targets. Furthermore, working closely with the leadership, this role supports the evaluation of potential pipeline developments, assists in guiding concept design, and helps enforce brand standards throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development Support and Project Feasibility Assessment

• Pipeline Evaluation Support: Assist leadership in evaluating potential pipeline developments and existing conversion opportunities by compiling site data, spatial analyses, and technical assessment reports.

• Property Due Diligence Assistance: Support physical inspections of existing assets/conversions to identify architectural constraints, existing site conditions, and required modifications to meet brand standards.

2. Concept Design and Early Development Support

• Concept Design Assistance: Support the development and refinement of concept designs for new projects by coordinating spatial layout requirements, guest journey maps, and operational efficiency standards.

• Design Brief & Program Coordination: Collaborate with external designers, project management teams, and internal stakeholders to help draft project design briefs and programming to ensure functionality across all plans.

3. Design and Brand Compliance Support

• Brand Standards Application: Support the enforcement of brand and technical services guidelines (spatial layout, materials, guest room ergonomics, BOH flows) by assisting in the review of consultant design submittals.

• Architectural & ID Drawing Review: Perform detailed technical reviews of schematic, detail, and construction drawings provided by third-party architects and interior designers to flag potential operational issues early.

• Site Support: Assist in monitoring construction quality, tracking progress, and participating in related design management tasks.

4. Operational Needs & Spatial Efficiency Review

• Front-of-House Review: Help evaluate guest flow and spatial arrangements from entry points and lobbies to F&B outlets and elevators.

• Back-of-House Optimization: Assist in reviewing service circulation paths, elevator counts, housekeeping pantries, laundry logistics, and staff facilities for operational flow.

• Material & Finish Verification: Help evaluate interior finish specs, OS&E and FF&E samples, acoustic STC ratings, and lighting specs for durability and maintenance feasibility

5. Project Coordination, Stakeholder Support and Administration

• Consultant & Stakeholder Liaison: Assist in tracking deliverables from third-party architects, ID firms, and other project consultants to ensure alignment with project schedules.

• Value Engineering Review Support: Assist in gathering data and evaluating proposed VE changes during procurement to prevent degradation of brand quality and operational durability.

• Design Administration & Documentation: Prepare and maintain key administrative deliverables, including design review reports, site inspection summaries, minutes of acceptance/handover, and project status tracking lists.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.

• Registered Architect or Licensed Interior Designer preferred; LEED or local green building accreditation is a plus.

Experience:

• 5 to 8+ years of total experience, with a focus on upscale, luxury, or lifestyle hospitality projects.

• Practical background working in both an architectural/design firm (supporting hospitality projects) and in-house with a hotel operator or developer.

• Hands-on experience supporting at least 1 to 2 hotel developments end-to-end—from schematic design review, design management throughout construction, brand audits, and operational handover.

Skills:

• Fluent in English and Vietnamese, both written and spoken

• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to effectively manage and lead interactions with consultants, PMs, Owners, and contractors.
