As a Database Administrator at Swisslog, your key responsibilities are:

Project activities:

• Installation, troubleshooting and configuration of databases on Unix/Linux and MS Windows platform.
• Installation and configuration Application servers (Weblogic, Wildfly).
• Perform system upgrade and patching on customer systems (Remote or Onsite).
• Configurating and ensuring high availability of database systems (data guard, RAC, AOAG)..
• Database migration from an older DB version to newer version and cross-platform.
• Developing and enhancing the backup & restore strategy.
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and tuning database performance.
• Document changes in the change log and asset management database.

Support activities:

• Standby support 24x7, up to 2 weeks/month.
• Independent problem analysis e.g., slowness and troubleshooting incident/problem.
• Conduct regular database checks and provide a report including recommendations.
• Adhere to Swisslog processes.

Your Skills and Experience

Your skills and experience:

• Degree in information technology, computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience as a Database Administrator with one of the; following Database:  
  • MS SQL
  • Oracle
• Expertise in the development of scripts (SQL, PL/SQL, shell).
• Expertise in the following application servers: Weblogic, Wildfly.
• Proficient in English with strong writing and speaking skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
• Proactive and team player mindset and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and customer oriented.
• Good communication skills, flexibility, and willingness to travel abroad.
• Independent and customer-oriented behavior as well as a high willingness to learn.

Working Domains:

• Technical: MSSQL, OracleDB.
• Business: Intralogistics.

All interviews are preferred to be done in English.
