About the Department

The Technology & Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Overview of the Role

• Implement, manage, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple data center sites<ins>, including servers, storage systems, and operating systems.

• Ensure secure and reliable operations through best practices in server hardening, patch management, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

Job Responsibilities

1. Data Center Infrastructure Management (Multi-site Scope)

• Design, deploy, and manage data center infrastructure across multiple locations (primary, DR site, and branch environments).

• Oversee end-to-end data center setup, including:

• Server and storage deployment

• Rack/stack coordination and infrastructure readiness

• Integration with network infrastructure (in coordination with network teams)

• Ensure high availability and redundancy through appropriate architecture design (e.g., clustering, failover, DR setup).

• Maintain data center standards and governance, including rack layout, power, cooling, and physical infrastructure in coordination with vendors and facility teams.

• Perform capacity planning and resource optimization across multiple sites.

• Support data center migration, consolidation, and expansion projects.

• Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness, including conducting DR drills and failover testing.

2. Server Infrastructure Management

• Perform end-to-end server administration, including:

• Capacity monitoring and forecasting

• Security patching and compliance management

• Performance tuning and optimization

• System log monitoring and analysis

• Deploy and maintain Windows Server and Red Hat Linux environments following enterprise standards.

• Implement and enforce:

• Server hardening practices, including OS baseline configuration

• Vulnerability remediation and patch management

• Access control and audit policy enforcement

• Manage virtualized environments (VMware):

• Provisioning and decommissioning VMs

• Resource allocation and performance optimization

• Cluster and host management

3. Infrastructure Operations & Support

• Monitor infrastructure health using enterprise tools and proactively address performance or capacity issues.

• Troubleshoot and resolve server, storage, and system-related incidents to ensure minimal service disruption.

• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and maintenance activities.

• Maintain proper documentation of infrastructure configurations, standards, and procedures.

4. Collaboration & Governance

• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support IT infrastructure projects and operations across multiple sites.

• Provide regular reports on:

• Infrastructure availability and performance

• Capacity utilization and risks

• Incident and problem management status

• Participate in infrastructure architecture design and standardization initiatives.

• Ensure adherence to IT policies, security standards, and audit/compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) to communicate with

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, focusing on server, storage, and data center operations.

• Proven experience in managing multi-site data center environments (Primary and DR).

• Hands-on experience in data center setup, migration, and infrastructure deployment.

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), VMware virtualization platforms.

• Solid knowledge of Enterprise server and storage technologies, Backup and recovery systems, Monitoring and alerting tools.

• Strong experience in Multi-site data center management and operations, Capacity planning and infrastructure scaling, High availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) setup.

• Expertise in Server hardening and secure configuration frameworks, Patch management and vulnerability remediation, Audit and compliance requirements.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex environments.

• Strong coordination and vendor management skills.

• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
