Tasks

• Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, and maintaining information in written or electronic form related to purchase orders.
• Monitoring the charges and costs for the assigned material categories.
• Checking and managing Material Requests (MRs) issued under assigned responsibilities.
• Selecting qualified suppliers from the market to ensure the most competitive sourcing options based on the specific situation.
• Comparing prices and negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best purchasing terms by utilizing available tools and reference databases within the system.
• Proposing alternative materials or solutions to the Technical Office and requesting approval or technical deviation where necessary.
• Issuing Purchase Orders (POs) and preparing all related documents for approval, including quotations, price comparisons, technical confirmations, and drawings.
• Following up on order confirmations and coordinating with the Expediting Team to summarize and monitor material delivery schedules.
• Managing delivery delay penalties and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with suppliers in accordance with company policies.
• Supporting and coordinating daily activities within the department and collaborating with other departments across the company.
• Identifying and sourcing new suppliers to expand the supplier network and improve sourcing opportunities.
• Negotiating supplier price lists to achieve competitive pricing and favorable purchasing terms.

Tasks’ Objective

• Issuing purchase orders within the required timeframe in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Purchasing materials in compliance with the requested delivery dates and quality requirements specified in Danieli Standards or by the user.
• Purchasing materials in line with reference costs and company cost targets.
• Identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers to expand the company’s supplier network.

Key Expected Results

• Purchasing materials from qualified suppliers to ensure the best balance of price and quality.
• Ensuring materials are delivered according to the requirements and schedules specified by the Production Department or end users.
• Providing timely and detailed updates to the manager on each specific request, including its status, issues, and progress.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Preference for technical degree.
• 0 - 3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement. Experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures.
• Knowledge of assigned commodities.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international business transactions.
• Analytical skills.
• Negotiation skills.
