1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Job Title: Application Engineer (MCS)

Employment: Type Full-time

Work Location: HCM (Dist 3) / HAN (Bac Tu Liem Dist)

Working Hours: Mon – Fri (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)

2. JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for delivering end-to-end technical support, root-cause warranty diagnostics for Inverter/Servo systems, and motion control application engineering for OEM clients and system integrators to drive customer satisfaction and uphold brand equity.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

a. After-Sales Technical Service & Warranty Management (40%)

• Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) and diagnose hardware/software faults on Inverters (VFDs), Servo systems,and Motion Controllers at the service center or client sites.

• Execute repairs, board replacements (IGBT, power boards, control boards), load testing, and system commissioning.

• Prepare formal Technical Assessment & Warranty Reports for factory submission and prepare service/spare part replacement quotations for clients.

b. Pre-sales, Field Support & Motion Control Application Engineering (40%)

• Assist OEM partners and System Integrators with parameter tuning, motion profiling, and positioning optimization.

• Troubleshoot on-site issues related to industrial communications protocols (EtherCAT, Mechatrolink, Modbus, Profinet).

• Collaborate with Sales Engineers to survey existing machinery setups and propose system upgrade solutions.

c. Technical Training & Documentation (20%)

• Develop technical guides, quick-troubleshooting SOPs, and product application notes.

• Conduct product training sessions for channel partners, distributors, and key client maintenance teams.

4. JOB REQUIREMENTS

a. Education & Work Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience in Field Service, Technical Support, or Automation Systems Engineering.

• Technical Competency: Proven track record with industrial drives (Inverters/VFDs), AC Servo systems,

• PLC/HMI programming, and motion applications (e.g., flying shears, rotary cutters, packaging lines).

b. Skills & Key Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading electrical schematics; skilled in using diagnostic tools (Oscilloscopes,

• VOMs, Insulation testers).

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (reading technical documentation & professional correspondence).

• Knowledge of Japanese is a plus.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities under pressure; excellent client-facing and stakeholder

• management skills.

• Other Requirements: Willingness to travel short-term for on-site client assignments.
