. About the Role

In this role, you will help American students or homeschool students understand lessons, practice exercises, correct mistakes, and improve their academic performance. This position is not only about giving correct answers. It also requires the ability to explain concepts clearly, logically, and systematically in English, in a way that matches how students in the US education system learn.

This role is suitable for candidates who are strong in Math, Physics, or Chemistry, have solid academic English skills, love education, and want to grow in the fields of Education, Academy, US Curriculum, and Homeschool Learning.

2. Job Responsibilities

2.1. Guide Students Following the US Curriculum

Support students in learning and practicing Math, Physics, and Chemistry based on the US curriculum or homeschool learning model.

Guide students through problem-solving step by step, instead of simply giving final answers.

Adjust explanations based on each student’s level, learning pace, and learning style.

2.2. Track Student Progress and Provide Academic Support

Monitor each student’s learning process, level of understanding, assignments, and academic results.

Identify gaps in students’ knowledge, problem-solving thinking, or presentation of solutions.

Remind students to complete homework, review lessons, and attend sessions regularly.

Record issues that arise during the learning process and report them to the Academy team in a timely manner.

Suggest suitable support methods to help students improve step by step.

2.3. Learn and Apply US-Standard Teaching Methods

Learn and apply teaching methods suitable for American students or homeschool students.

Become familiar with how to ask guiding questions, develop students’ thinking, give feedback on assignments, and evaluate student ability according to the US education style.

Support students in developing self-learning skills, critical thinking, and logical presentation of solutions.

Participate in internal training on curriculum, tutoring methods, and teaching quality standards.

Proactively improve your teaching approach based on feedback from students, parents, and the Academy team.

2.4. Collaborate with the Academy Team

Work with mentors, academic coordinators, or training managers to handle academic issues when needed.

Support the preparation of learning materials, exercises, review content, or academic reports when required.

Complete other student-support-related tasks assigned by the direct manager.

. Job Requirements

3.1. Academic Background

Strong foundation in one or more subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry.

Good academic performance or high scores in Math, Physics, or Chemistry.

Candidates who have studied in international, bilingual, AP, SAT, ACT, IB, A-Level, or other English-based academic programs are preferred.

Students or graduates from Education, Natural Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy, Pedagogy, or related fields are preferred.

Experience as a tutor, private tutor, teaching assistant, academic mentor, or in supporting international students is an advantage.

3.2. English Proficiency

IELTS 7.5 or above, or equivalent English proficiency.

Able to explain Math, Physics, and Chemistry concepts clearly and coherently in English.

Able to communicate with American students or students following the US curriculum.

Clear pronunciation, easy-to-understand expression, and ability to use academic English during tutoring sessions.

Able to read and understand learning materials, questions, instructions, and assignments in English.

3.3. Skills

Strong logical thinking, with the ability to analyze problems and present solutions step by step.

Able to explain difficult concepts in a simpler and more understandable way.

Able to observe mistakes, ask guiding questions, and help students discover solutions by themselves.

Able to track student progress and give clear feedback on learning results.

Able to use online learning tools, digital materials, Google Workspace, or online learning platforms.

Willing to learn and adapt to teaching methods aligned with US education standards.

3.4. Personal Qualities

Careful, accurate, and responsible with teaching content.

Patient, positive, and willing to support students throughout their learning journey.

Good communication skills, active listening skills, and the ability to create a comfortable learning environment.

Organized, committed, and able to follow up closely on student progress.

Serious enough to help students maintain learning discipline.

Open to feedback and proactive in improving tutoring methods.

• Candidates are required to work directly at the office during night shift hours to support students in the US time zone.
