Itviec's client is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead the team and drive the development of our software products and solutions. The Engineering Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, efficient, innovative software applications that deliver a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software engineering and hands-on coding, coupled with the ability to create and execute a vision for team management, continuous process improvement, and technical excellence. The ideal candidate also has proven experience building new technology products from zero to launch, and a solid understanding of how technology is developed and adopted in manufacturing, so the platform fits real shop-floor and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Training: Manage, mentor, and elevate local development members through regular 1-on-1 sessions, constructive evaluation feedback, and coaching.
• Product Delivery & Quality: Actively participate in the product lifecycle, contributing directly to the codebase, executing pair programming, and running robust code reviews to ensure unified implementation.
• New Product Development & Innovation: Lead the creation of new technology products and features from idea to market: problem discovery, technology validation, prototyping/PoC, MVP, pilot and scale-up. Turn new ideas into working products that deliver clear business value.
• Manufacturing Technology Alignment: Apply your understanding of manufacturing technology development processes (e.g., NPI, stage-gate, PoC to pilot to mass rollout, MES/ERP/PLM integration, quality and production workflows) to design solutions that fit manufacturing operations and are easy for manufacturing customers to adopt.
• Architecture & Scalability: Collaborate closely with global product and engineering divisions to design, architect, and deploy highly scalable software solutions aligned with business goals.
• Flexible Technical Governance: Adapt seamlessly to organizational needs, whether guiding teams through complex technical decisions with a review-centric focus or driving active on-site delivery through high-volume hands-on development.
• Organization Design & Culture: Optimize internal organizational structures to match product scaling, promote engineering recruitment, participate in external PR, and actively champion a progressive tech culture.

Core Requirements (Must Have):

• Proven track record as a development team manager or Engineering Manager steering product squads to deliver results from highly complex requirements.
• Solid foundational background as a software engineer with hands-on coding experience, with a verified ability to develop, contribute to, and review complex codebases.
• Proven experience creating and launching new technology products (0→1), from concept and technology validation through MVP to production release.
• Solid understanding of technology development processes in manufacturing (e.g., NPI, stage-gate, pilot-to-scale rollout, production/quality workflows, MES/ERP/PLM systems).
• Demonstrated experience navigating technology verification, requirements analysis, architectural design, and infrastructure construction for multiple projects or teams.
• Strong experience driving and optimizing Agile and Scrum development workflows.
• Excellent capability to balance technical and managerial responsibilities effectively to maintain high personal and team productivity.
• Fluent business-level communication skills in English (cross-team collaboration is a dynamic mix of English and Japanese).
• Current residency in Vietnam or concrete relocation plans (foreign nationals must possess a valid local work permit or legal eligibility).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Prior management experience working within a fast-growing, multinational, or multi-team development infrastructure.
• Business-level Japanese language proficiency is highly advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing technology such as Industry 4.0, IoT, smart factory, or supply chain/procurement systems.
