Supe Lam Thao Focuses on Fulfilling Q4/2026 Tasks, Ensuring Jobs and Income for Employees

On 13 October 2026, Lam Thao Superphosphate and Chemicals Joint Stock Company held a conference to review Q3 business performance, the first nine months of 2026, and to announce personnel decisions. Against a backdrop of volatile raw material markets and lower fertiliser demand, the company has focused on production management, cost control, and ensuring employment, income, and welfare for its workforce.

The conference was chaired by Mr. Phạm Thanh Tùng, Party Secretary and General Director, together with the Executive Board. Participants included representatives of trade union organisations and heads of company departments and divisions.

Maintaining Production, Proactive Market Response

According to reports at the conference, Supe Lam Thao’s business activities over the first nine months of 2026 have been affected by several factors. Input material prices have risen significantly, especially sulphur, which has remained above USD 1,000/tonne; logistics have been impacted by global geopolitical tensions, while domestic fertiliser demand has dropped sharply.

In response, under the guidance of the Vietnam National Chemical Group and through flexible management measures, the company has focused on cost control, improved management effectiveness, and maintained ongoing business operations.

In Q3/2026, the company’s industrial production value (at actual prices) reached VND 387 billion; the nine-month total was VND 2,377 billion. Fertiliser output in the quarter was 67,494 tonnes; the nine-month cumulative output was 408,088 tonnes.

Sales revenue from goods and services in Q3 reached VND 655 billion, with a nine-month total of VND 2,970 billion. Fertiliser sales volume in Q3 was 80,500 tonnes, and 393,630 tonnes for the first nine months.

Alongside business activities, the company has continued with repairs, basic construction investment, and the application of science and technology. Completed projects include repairing the S3 synthesis plant roof at the Superphosphate Factory, N3 raw material storage at NPK 3 Plant, and a heat exchanger tower at the Acid Plant.

The company is also accelerating the construction of a new canteen, upgrading the exhaust gas treatment system for Acid Line 2, the sulphur furnace, and the boiler for Acid Line 1. QR Codes continue to be used for product management and traceability.

Caring for Employment, Income, and Welfare

In business management, Supe Lam Thao has prioritised securing jobs, income, and welfare for its staff. The company currently employs 1,653 workers, with an average income over the first nine months of 2026 reaching VND 13.26 million per person per month.

In Q3, the company contributed over VND 1.4 billion to local social welfare funds; organised trips to Singapore and Malaysia for 64 outstanding workers and 38 retirees; and arranged holidays in Ha Long for over 900 staff and workers.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Phạm Thanh Tùng commended the efforts of all units and employees over the first nine months and acknowledged the challenges the company faces.

He stressed that, going forward, the company will continue to improve management effectiveness, keep employees at the centre, focus on customers, improve product quality, and better meet market demands. The company aims to complete Q4 and full-year 2026 business targets.

At the conference, company leadership presented the Q3 Emulation Flag to three units: the Acid Plant, the Finance and Accounting Department, and the Health Department, recognising their task achievements.

The conference also announced and presented new personnel appointments. Mr. Trần Đại Nghĩa, Deputy General Director, was additionally appointed Head of the Technical Department; Mr. Chu Hồng Quang, Acting Deputy Chief of Office, was appointed Chief of Office; and Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Bình, Deputy Director of NPK 3 Plant, was appointed Acting Director of NPK 3 Plant.

On behalf of company leadership, Mr. Phạm Thanh Tùng and the executive team presented the decisions and congratulated the newly appointed staff. He requested that, in their new positions, they continue to show ability, experience, responsibility, and cohesion, proactively coordinate with relevant units, and successfully fulfil their assigned tasks.
