Senior Engineer - Technical Service, Fruit & Vegetables, Agricultural Solutions

OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

• Execute high-quality technical demonstrations and develop locally relevant agronomic recommendations within assigned territories.
• Support the introduction, development and successful commercialization of crop protection solutions through representative field testing.
• Translate field performance, grower needs and market insights into practical recommendations for growers, Sales, Marketing, distributors, customers and other local stakeholders. 
• Support the development and successful launch of new products within assigned territories through field testing in representative production areas.
• Provide field-based technical support to local Sales and Marketing teams, distributors, customers, and growers across assigned territories.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES

1. Technical Demonstration and Field Evaluation for New and Existing Products

• Plan and execute field demonstrations in representative locations in alignment with Sales and Marketing.
• Contribute to the growth of the Fruit & Vegetables portfolio by adapting spray programs and demonstration protocols to local conditions and evaluating solutions under current farming practices.
• Submit demonstration reports within two weeks of completion and translate results into local recommendations, technical evidence and launch-readiness insights.
• Engage local Sales and key growers or customers in prioritized demonstrations through field days, blind tests and unbiased feedback to validate performance and help define the unique value proposition.
• Share territory results, technical gaps, growers’ feedback and recommended actions in periodic reviews within Technical Service team and with relevant teams.

2. Technical Knowledge Transfer and Problem Solving

• Provide practical field-based troubleshooting and investigate product-performance concerns and complaints through field assessment, documentation, follow-up and science-based recommendations.
• Escalate complex cases to the superior or relevant teams when required.
• Conduct technical training and coaching for commercial teams, customers and growers.
• Promote product stewardship, responsible use, resistance management and compliance with approved labels and applicable local requirements.

3. Grower Engagement and Field Insights

• Visit growers and fields regularly beside planned demonstration activities to identify crop conditions, technical needs, farmer practices, competitor activity and emerging local market insights.
• Communicate relevant territory intelligence to local marketing & commercial teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Crop Protection, Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Agricultural Sciences or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in technical service, agronomy, field development, crop protection, horticulture or agricultural advisory work.
• Hands-on experience with field demonstrations, product evaluation, technical training or customer support.
• Experience in fruit and vegetable production systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of durian, coffee, vegetables, citrus, dragon fruit, flowers or other high-value crops is an advantage.
• Ability to develop practical agronomic recommendations; investigate field performance issues; document and report results; and promote stewardship, resistance management and label compliance.
• Confident presentation and facilitation of field days, farmer meetings and technical seminars.
