Position Summary

IBK Vietnam is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in the banking or accounting services sector to join our Accounting team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with tax and SBV requirements, and supporting financial reporting in accordance with local regulations, and internal control frameworks of a foreign banking institution.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Statements & Reporting system (VAS, IFRS)

• Prepare reporting systems relating to financial statements (VAS, IFRS)

• Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable accounting standards (VAS and IFRS)

• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary accounting records and explanations

Control of Accounting entries & General ledger Management

• Maintain and control the bank’s accounting entries and general ledger

• Record and reconcile daily banking transactions. Oversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and general ledger entries.

• Ensure accounting entries are properly recorded in accordance with accounting standards and internal controls.

• Formulate and recommend accounting policies and makes recommendations to improve existing accounting system.

Internal Management & Analytical Reporting

• Prepare internal financial and management reports for Managers.

• Analyze financial data, identify variances, trends, and potential risks

• Other required reports.

Audit support

• Prepare internal financial and management reports for Managers.

• Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing necessary financial documentation and reports.

• Ensure all transactions and procedures follow local banking laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.

Other accounting tasks as required

• Minimum 5–7 yea

• Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably within banks or financial institutions.

• Strong understanding of banking products, operations, and accounting policy/regulations in IFRS, VAS.

• Experience in regulatory reporting and financial reporting in the banking sector is required.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

• Proficiency in English for business communication (Korean proficiency is a plus)
