Job purpose

Support the Safety & Security Manager in implementing the Safety Pillar strategy and maintaining a safe, secure and compliant brewery. Identify risks, support preventive actions, strengthen safety behaviours, and help teams meet HEINEKEN standards and local legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

1. Risk Assessment & Prevention:

• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments across the brewery in line with local legislation, HEINEKEN requirements, including High-level risk assessments and the ORR route.
• Recommend appropriate risk controls and follow up actions with responsible departments to ensure effective implementation and closure.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of critical safety controls, including LOTOTO (Lockout-Tagout-Tryout), covering risk assessments, procedures, hazardous energy identification, field verification, compliance audits and training/competency verification.
• Support team leaders and Safety Pillar members in resolving safety risks and monitor the effectiveness and sustainability of implemented controls.
• Develop emergency response plans and coordinate with departments to conduct emergency drills.

2. Legal Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Monitor and maintain compliance with applicable occupational health & safety, chemical safety and other relevant legal requirements, including regulatory updates and implementation of new requirements.
• Conduct and support legal compliance assessments, identify gaps and follow up corrective actions with relevant departments.
• Manage regulatory compliance requirements, including licenses, permits, certificates, inspections, registrations, statutory records and mandatory reporting; maintain compliance evidence and support HEINEKEN, internal and regulatory audits/inspections.
• Contractor Management: Manage and verify Safety Pre-qualification requirements and Contractor workers’ Certifications.

3. Chemical Safety & PPE Management

• Support S&S Manager on the implementation and continuous improvement of the brewery Chemical Safety Management System in compliance with applicable legislation and HEINEKEN requirements.
• Manage chemical safety requirements, including chemical inventory, SDS, approval, storage, handling, transportation and emergency preparedness, awareness training and drills.
• Coordinate PPE management, including risk assessment, PPE matrix, selection and specifications, compliance monitoring, planning, procurement and distribution; collaborate with departments and suppliers to ensure appropriate PPE and continuous improvement of PPE standards and practices.

4. Safety Planning & KPI Management

• Track and analyse Safety KPIs and leading indicators, including safety observations, risk reduction, corrective action closure, training compliance and other relevant indicators.
• Coordinate and follow up on agreed Safety Department Plan actions.

5. Safety Culture, BBS, Communication & Training

• Analyse BBS trends and work with team leaders and Safety Pillar members to address recurring unsafe behaviours.
• Prepare and deliver safety training based on site risks, legal requirements and HEINEKEN standards.
• Support the standardisation of Safety training matrix project.
• Drive safety campaign, communication, and awareness for employees and contractors, encouraging active participation in safety improvement activities.

6. Incident Management & Continuous Improvement

• Support timely reporting of safety incidents and events in the system, including information gathering and root cause analysis.
• Follow up corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.
• Analyse trends in incidents, near misses and safety events and share lessons learned to drive preventive actions and improvement opportunities.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Education: University degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in Safety roles, with a minimum of 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge: Occupational health and safety, industrial safety and applicable legal requirements.
• Skills: Risk assessment, analytical thinking, problem-solving, training delivery, stakeholder management and data analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Power BI is an advantage.
• Language: Upper intermediate English.
