We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Manager to oversee the implementation, support, and enforcement of company and regulatory standards at both of our Austin locations. The Quality Manager will be responsible for administering and supporting ISO industry and quality requirements, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading all matters relating to quality within the company.

Responsibilities

• Administer the site’s Quality Management System to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure site certification to ISO-9001 and maintain all aspects of the quality system, including documentation, auditing, corrective actions, and follow-up.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of all ISO-9001 related documentation (e.g., work instructions, quality plans, etc.).
• Communicate with key customers and suppliers concerning quality issues and resolution of challenges impacting product quality or customer satisfaction.
• Lead all activity for customer complaint and corrective actions, including chairing the Corrective Action Review Board and conducting 8Ds as needed.
• Create or facilitate the creation of product control plans.
• Coordinate and facilitate Management Reviews.
• Identify and maintain appropriate metrics for Continual Improvement.
• Coordinate activities regarding Customer Quality Programs.
• Lead OEM and customer quality audits.
• Develop and implement training programs/materials that educate employees on quality and customer expectations.
• Ensure implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC), data collection, and analysis for continuous improvement of processes.
• Oversee Material Review Board activities.
• Participate as a member of the 5S/Lean Manufacturing steering committee.
• Supervise group personnel, including writing reviews, recommending salary actions, administering disciplinary action, etc.
• Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.
• Create a budget for group expenses, recommend allocations within budget constraints, and control spending.
• Comply with the Code of Conduct in all work activities.

Supervision:

• Direct reports: QC Engineers and QC Inspectors

Yêu cầu ứng viên

• Mechanical Engineering degree required, preferably technical.
• ISO-9001 Lead Auditor training required.
• Thorough knowledge of ISO-9001 and related standards.
• Ten years’ experience in Quality Assurance, with more than five years in management.
• Good knowledge of ceramic machining and quartz glass assemblies and assembly procedures a plus.
• Ability to conceptualize functional mechanical designs.
• Demonstrated decision-making and analytical skills.
