JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently manage all production, quality, production planning
• Manage relationship with factory top management (Head of Production & Head of QA) but with support from Production Team Leader or Senior Production Manager in implementing techniques and quality tools in daily production operations.
• Manage junior team members and contribute considerably to the achievement of team objectives.
• Ability to lead local QA team and work with factories to ensure quality is up to SKX quality level
• Supervise junior production staffs ensuring that quality is the paramount priority and focus.
• Explain practices and directives to factory production heads and/or Skechers QA teams to achieve shared goals.
• Influence factory production/ quality middle management and drive change to achieve production objectives.
• Make day to day decisions within defined scope (with support on complex issues)
• Account for production area with predefined scope of responsibilities.
• Drive quality initiatives as assigned by the management team.
• Monitor and enforce all in process procedures in assigned factory to ensure SKX quality and specifications are being met.
• Ensure compliance of SKX Policies / Procedures in factory
• Ensure daily production status, and weekly order tracking list are done in a timely manner with accuracy.
• Identify issues in the timely manner through AQL Process
• Communicate all production issues through written report /update accurate production status
• Serve as communication link between Sr. Production Manager and Technical Department, Development Department and Packaging Department when working with factory.
• Ensure compliance with all Skechers Specifications, Processes, Testing procedures.
• Follow the total quality process from beginning of production through to shipping, including on time performance.
• Actively participate with factory staff, Sr. production Manager in production planning, quality, and PP meetings
• Ensure Top Samples are sent to DG/ LA on time and meet the expectation.
• Ensure clear and concise communication with the factory and follow up
• Approval of all materials from approved suppliers with proper testing reports
• Conduct final inspections of finished goods and random daily inspections for all areas of production.
• Report to regional quality leader and management team regarding quality situation in the area.
• Establish and support MQA implementation in factories.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Senior Apparel Leadership: 8–12 years in garment QA/QC, with 3+ years managing teams across Tier 1 factories in Vietnam.
• Trilingual & Liaison Skills: Fluent in English and Vietnamese, plus Nice-to-have: professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (a massive asset for directly negotiating with Chinese factory owners and material suppliers in Vietnam).
• Technical Apparel Mastery: Strong background in textile engineering, pattern grading, and troubleshooting manufacturing defects (knits, wovens, or activewear).
• ⁠Data-Driven Problem Solving: Proven track record in root-cause analysis and implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAP) to eliminate production bottlenecks.
• Quality & Compliance Standards: Solid understanding of American retail quality guidelines, AQL sampling, and basic product safety protocols.
