JOB SUMMARY:

Medline GSO (Global Sourcing Organization) is looking for an experienced Purchasing/Sourcing Manager with fluent English communication skill.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Identify and develop suppliers for Medline products throughout Asia.

- Working across multiple product divisions to advance the sourcing and product development needs of the division.

- Project Management:

• Collaborate with product manager, engineering, and vendors to develop new products and bring new products to the market or redesign the products to achieve cost competitiveness.
• Lead project and influence different functions to achieve goals, assure result accomplish and deliver on time.
• Price calculation and negotiation.
• Establish and meet project schedules coordinating with vendors by working closely with the vendors and managing the project to achieve the target date and objectives

- Vendor Management:

• Maintain effective business relationship with vendors associated with assigned product categories; Understand vendor impact on overall business and product category;
• Proactively be aware of potential changes with vendors or in related manufacturing industry; Monitors contract compliance. Leads supplier score card process.
• Keep challenging existing vendor pool, identify high potential vendors, sourcing risk mitigation plan.
• Monitors contract compliance.

Qualification:

• Education level: Bachelor’s Degree and above

• Working experience: Have extensive working experience in global procurement/sourcing and skilled at new product & new supplier development. Past experience in healthcare industry or regional sourcing center is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Language: Fluent in English is must have. Fluent in Chinese-Mandarin is desirable (English/Chinese is essential for daily coordination with our native partners/managers).

• Proficient at Office software like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Familiar with SAP system is a plus
