Position Overview

Lead the product strategy, roadmap, and adoption of the Design System, ensuring component development aligns with business needs and delivers a consistent user experience across ONE Digital platforms. Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and product stakeholders to drive roadmap execution, release management, and design system governance.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Backlog Management

• Own and maintain the product backlog, roadmap, and release timeline.
• Gather, prioritize, and refine enhancement requests from product teams.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
• Balance business priorities, technical feasibility, and platform scalability.

Release Management

• Plan and coordinate release schedules with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare release notes and stakeholder announcements for every release.
• Organize and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including scope definition, stakeholder coordination, issue tracking, and release readiness.
• Monitor release progress and ensure successful feature adoption.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Communicate new features, design updates, migration guidance, and breaking changes to product teams.
• Act as the primary contact for design system-related product and UX inquiries.
• Build alignment between engineering, design, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collect feedback from product teams and translate it into actionable backlog items

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with the other technical roles such as Solution Architect, Technical Architect, and UI/UX Designer to review upcoming initiatives, solution proposals, and design quality.
• Work closely with Scrum Master on sprint planning, delivery timelines, capacity planning, and release coordination.
• Manage incoming service requests together with Technical Architect and Scrum Master.

Governance & Reporting

• Promote Design System adoption and governance across product teams.
• Support design consistency and UX best practices throughout the organization.
• Maintain product documentation and ensure stakeholder visibility of roadmap and release information.

Your Skills and Experience

Required

• 2–5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Design System Product Owner.
• Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and release planning using Agile methodologies.
• Strong ability to write user stories and define clear functional requirements.
• Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and stakeholder feedback.
• Familiarity with design systems, reusable component libraries, or frontend platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience working closely with engineering, UI/UX designers, Solution Architects, and Scrum Masters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for release announcements, documentation, and presentations.
• Ability to facilitate discussions, prioritize competing requests, and build consensus across teams.

Preferred

• Experience working with React-based Design Systems or frontend platforms.
• Familiarity with Storybook, Figma, and design token management.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and UX best practices.
• Experience supporting enterprise products serving multiple development teams.
• Basic understanding of frontend development concepts to effectively collaborate with technical teams.
• Strong English communication skills for working with global stakeholders.
