• Job Overview

We are seeking experienced FGD Mechanical Supervision Engineers for a restoration project at a thermal power plant in Thanh Hoa. The role focuses on supervising contractors during mechanical dismantling, repair, fabrication, reinstallation, quality inspection and commissioning support for the Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) system.

• Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Supervision

• Supervise contractors during dismantling, repair, fabrication and reinstallation of FGD mechanical equipment.
• Monitor works involving absorbers, steel structures, flue gas ducts, process piping, GGH, pumps, dampers and expansion joints.
• Review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, work procedures, lifting plans and installation methods.
• Inspect equipment alignment, welding, bolted connections, supports and installation tolerances.
• Coordinate with contractors, OEMs and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.

Quality Control & Inspection

• Monitor ITPs, welding procedures (WPS), welder qualifications and NDT activities.
• Inspect mechanical installation, painting, corrosion protection lining and repair quality.
• Identify technical deviations, defects and non-conformities; follow up corrective actions.
• Review inspection records, punch lists, as-built drawings and handover documentation.

Safety, Progress & Reporting

• Monitor compliance with site HSE requirements, including lifting, hot work, confined spaces, working at height and LOTO.
• Track daily progress, manpower, materials, equipment and contractor performance.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and technical reports in English.
• Support pre-commissioning, mechanical commissioning, final inspection and handover.

- Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Energy Equipment, Thermal Power Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 05 years of site experience in industrial mechanical installation, maintenance, repair or overhaul.
• At least 02 years of direct mechanical construction supervision or Mechanical QA/QC experience.
• Must have participated in at least 01 industrial installation, overhaul or restoration project involving dismantling and reinstallation.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, welding, NDT, alignment, lifting operations and industrial safety.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, technical documents and inspection records.
• Good English communication skills (4 skills), including technical discussions with overseas OEMs/contractors and preparation of English reports.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD/PDF drawing viewers.
• Note: Candidates with strong mechanical overhaul/restoration experience in refinery, petrochemical or other heavy industrial projects are encouraged to apply, even without direct FGD experience.
