We are looking for a General Accountant with 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the maritime, shipping, or logistics industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting operations, tax compliance, internal reconciliation, reporting, and supporting financial consolidation activities across Vietnam branches.

Job Description

• Handle and review monthly/quarterly tax declarations (VAT, FCT);

• Ensure timely filings and payments to authorities in accordance with VAS.

• Reconcile Bank transactions of USD, VND, internal remittance.

• Posting and reconcile internal transactions, internal AR/AP with YMS branch & HQ.

• Posting expenses monthly by posting VAT invoices.

• Calculating difference exchange rate

• Track depreciation of fixed assets and prepaid expenses.

• Consolidate whole VN branches' monthly/yearly report.

• HQ Financial Consolidation System data maintain.

• Statistics, FDI report to Government.

• Work collaboratively with the existing Accounting Staff on daily operations.

• Support improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

• Participate in other relevant projects assigned by the CA, CFO, MGM.

Must-have Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the maritime, shipping, logistics, or related industries.

• Solid understanding of Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS) and Vietnamese tax regulations.

• Practical experience with VAT and Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT) declarations and related compliance activities.

• Experience in general accounting, AR/AP reconciliation, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and monthly/yearly reporting.

• Good understanding of foreign currency transactions and exchange rate differences.

• Good MS Excel skills and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems.

• Good attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet reporting deadlines.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with accounting and cross-functional teams.

• English communication skills sufficient for working with HQ and handling accounting-related documents and correspondence.

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Experience working in a foreign-invested company (FDI) or multinational environment.

• Experience with financial consolidation and reporting to overseas headquarters.

• Experience in FDI/statistical reporting to government authorities.

• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA Vietnam, or equivalent are an advantage.
