The Commercial Finance Manager serves as the financial co-pilot to Commercial Leadership, providing financial visibility, driving profitable growth, and ensuring disciplined business decisions. In summary, this position helps leaders answer 3 critical questions:

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Financial Performance and Business Control

Own financial performance visibility for Saint-Gobain North and assigned businesses.

Lead forecasting, budgeting, month-end closing, management reporting, and financial reviews.

Drive transparency on sales, margin, operating profit, EBITDA and cash performance.

Identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions, and provide actionable recommendations to management.

Ensure strong governance over working capital, credit exposure, commercial spending and key financial controls.

2. Drive Profitable Commercial Growth

Partner with Commercial Leadership to improve business performance and growth quality.

Monitor profitability across product categories, customer segments, channels, distributors and key accounts.

Lead analysis of channel economics, customer profitability and commercial effectiveness.

Provide insights on where to invest, scale, protect margins or optimize resources.

Support commercial decisions with robust financial analysis and scenario modelling.

3. Partner on Pricing, Margin & Investment Decisions

Evaluate pricing proposals, rebate schemes, incentives and commercial investment programs.

Drive discipline around margin management, price-cost spread and return on investment.

Assess the financial impact of major commercial initiatives before and after implementation.

Ensure growth initiatives deliver sustainable and profitable outcomes.

4. Enable Strategic Business Decisions

Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and Commercial Leadership Team.

Support business cases for market expansion, channel development, distributor onboarding, new product launches and strategic projects.

Provide financial modelling and decision support for growth, transformation and integration initiatives.

Translate complex financial data into clear business insights and management actions.

Ideal Candidate

8+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Financial Controlling or Finance Business Partnering.

Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial performance to commercial outcomes.

Proven experience supporting senior business leaders and influencing decisions.

Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Comfortably balancing financial governance with business growth objectives.
