The Finance Controller / Plant Controller is responsible for the overall financial management at the plant level, coaching and developing the finance team, and supporting the Plant GM to achieve business goals and sustainable growth while ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Main responsibilities:

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, consolidate financial plans, and partner with operations to manage risks and improve accuracy.
• Accounting & Reporting: Oversee month-end closing, ensure accurate and timely management/statutory reporting, and maintain clean monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Inventory Control & Costing: Monitor inventory aging to minimize excess/obsolete stock, support physical counts, maintain accurate BOM/routing standard costs, and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Commercial & Projects: Review quotation costs, pricing, Capex investments, and ROI analysis to ensure project margins align with targets; analyze variances and drive corrective actions.
• Working Capital Optimization: Review and approve payables, maintain strict credit control over AR delinquency, and optimize the cash conversion cycle (DSO, DIO, DPO).
• Controls, Compliance & Tax: Adhere to corporate finance ethics and internal controls, support internal/external audits, and manage local tax declarations and incentive schemes.
• Team Leadership: Direct, control, coach, and develop the plant finance team.

• Core Competency: Extensive hands-on experience in financial control within the manufacturing sector (preferably mechanical, electrical, and/or communications) handling overall finance scope, FP&A, Costing, and Commercial finance.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent English skills (fluent in both written and spoken).
• Leadership: Strong capability to control, manage, and drive changes through the finance team.
• Experience: 10+ years of hands-on finance experience, including at least 3 years in a Finance Manager position within an MNC or large enterprise.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. Professional qualifications like CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a strong plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP ERP. Strong expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Thoroughly familiar with local GAAP, local tax regulations, and IFRS GAAP.
• Soft Skills: Good business sense, effective communication, result-driven leadership, and excellent problem-solving skills.
