1. Position Summary

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Company's facilities, utilities and building infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable and uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The incumbent manages utility systems, contractors, facility projects, environmental compliance and preventive maintenance programmes.

2.Key Duties and Responsibilities

A. Facilities Management

• Manage the operation and maintenance of building infrastructure and utility systems.

• Ensure continuous operation of electrical, compressed air, HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, fire protection and other facility systems.

• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

• Monitor utility consumption and identify energy-saving opportunities.

B. Preventive Maintenance

• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.

• Ensure timely completion of maintenance work.

• Monitor contractor performance and service quality.

C. Project Management

• Manage facility expansion, renovation and improvement projects.

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and suppliers.

• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.

D. Environmental, Health and Safety

• Ensure facility operations comply with environmental, health and safety regulations.

• Support emergency response planning and fire safety programmes.

• Investigate facility-related incidents and recommend corrective actions.

E. Utilities and Energy Management

• Monitor utility performance and consumption.

• Implement energy conservation initiatives.

• Maintain utility records and performance reports

F. Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement initiatives to improve the reliability and efficiency of facilities and utility systems.

• Reduce utility consumption, operating costs and equipment downtime.

• Support energy conservation and environmental sustainability initiatives.

• Improve preventive maintenance programmes and facility performance.

• Participate in Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement projects.

• Recommend facility and infrastructure improvements to support business growth.

G. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

• Ensure facilities operations comply with the Company's CSR policies, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct, environmental requirements and applicable laws.

• Support environmental sustainability initiatives.

• Support CSR, customer and regulatory audits.

• Promote responsible resource utilization and environmental protection.

3. Authority

• Coordinate facility maintenance activities.

• Recommend facility improvements and capital expenditure.

• Stop facility operations where there is a significant safety risk.

• Manage external contractors within approved authority limits.

4. Working Conditions

• Primarily based in a manufacturing environment with frequent inspections of production support facilities and utility systems.

• May be required to work outside normal working hours, weekends or public holidays to support maintenance, emergency repairs or facility projects.

• Required to comply with all workplace safety, environmental and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

• May be required to work at heights, in confined spaces or outdoors when performing facility inspections or supervising maintenance activities.

6. Other Duties

• Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities related to production operations or the Company's business as assigned by the Employer from time to time.

• The Employee may be required to undertake additional assignments, projects or responsibilities that are consistent with the Employee's skills, training, qualifications and job level.

• Such duties shall be performed in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures and operational requirements.

• Qualification: Graduated from University with relevant majors, such as Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management….

• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant working experience in the respective role.

• Language Proficiency: Good English communication skills (both spoken and written).

• Core Skills: Ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively in English.
