Job Purpose

Develop wash recipes that realize the design's target look with stable quality, controlled cost and lower environmental impact, and secure the same result in bulk.

Job Description

1. Wash recipe development

- Develop and document wash recipe from the designer's reference: desize, enzyme, stone, bleach, neutralization, softener, tint / overdye / coating / resin.

- Control dry process: whisker, hand sand, grinding, destroy, PP spray, 3D effect.

- Operate and program eco technology: laser (Jeanologia / other), ozone (G2), e-flow, nano bubble, and convert manual process into laser where possible.

2. Standard & approval

- Make and control the standard (reference) garment, sample garment for buyer approval, and keep recipe card for every approved style.

- Set shade band (light / standard / dark) and tolerance for bulk production.

3. Bulk production support

- Transfer approved recipe to laundry, train operator, confirm first bulk lot.

- Monitor bulk wash result, control lot to lot shade variation, and solve issue (uneven shade, back staining, holes, seam damage, hand feel difference).

4. Quality & compliance

- Manage after-wash test: shrinkage, torque, tensile/tear strength, color fastness, pH, chlorine and PP residue; support 3rd party test and buyer's protocol.

- Follow chemical compliance (ZDHC MRSL, RSL), safe handling and storage.

5. Cost & sustainability

- Calculate wash cost (chemical, time, machine load, manpower) and improve it.

- Reduce water, energy, chemical consumption and manage EIM score for buyer.

Yêu cầu công việc

• College / Bachelor's degree in Textile, Chemical Engineering, Dyeing & Finishing or equivalent practical experience in a denim laundry

• 3~10 years of hands-on denim washing experience (laundry, vendor or brand R&D)

• Able to write a wash recipe independently and reproduce a given reference garment

• Practical knowledge of washing chemical, enzyme, machine type and loading ratio

• Experience with laser / ozone / e-flow equipment is strongly preferred

• Understanding of denim fabric behaviour after wash (shrinkage, torque, shade)

• Able to read and follow buyer's test protocol and safety data sheet

• Basic English communication; Korean or Vietnamese is a plus

• Basic Word / Excel skill for recipe card, cost sheet and report

• Able to work in laundry site environment and support bulk production schedule

• Strong problem solving, ownership and teamwork

Preferred

• Jeanologia laser software (eDesigner / Kyoto) operating experience

• Experience of EIM score management and buyer's sustainability audit

• Experience of setting up a new laundry line or transferring recipes to a new plant
