How You'll Make an Impact

The Data Science team builds the machine learning models and the autonomous AI agents that turn data into better lending decisions. As a Data Scientist on the AGI project, you design, build, and operate both machine learning models and autonomous agents, translate data into revenue-driving solutions, and help shape how Trusting Social acquires, understands, and serves customers. You work alongside engineers, product managers, and fellow scientists, and you help level up the team through your technical guidance.

What You'll Do

Build and Operate Models and Agents

• Own the end-to-end design, development, deployment, and operation of machine learning models and autonomous AI agents.
• Ensure that models and agents meet quality standards in production by identifying drift and other issues before they affect business outcomes.

Turn Data into Revenue

• Analyze data to generate actionable business insights and build data-driven solutions that drive revenue growth.
• Develop a deep understanding of the market and experiment with emerging AI technologies to create innovative approaches to customer acquisition, customer monitoring, and customer retention.

Work Fluently with AI

• Use AI tools throughout your workflow—providing clear context, prompting effectively, critically reviewing outputs, and applying domain mastery through frequent feedback loops—to research, prototype, and ship high-quality solutions faster.

Elevate the Team

• Collaborate with team members, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver high-quality results within demanding timelines.
• Share knowledge, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior team members.

Your Skills and Experience

Experience & Background

• A Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least five years of professional experience applying machine learning to business problems.

• AI System Builder — Designs, prototypes, ships, and operates end-to-end AI and software solutions, including autonomous agents, with a strong understanding of large language models and their applications.
• AI Quality Ownership — Uses performance metrics and critical judgment to identify errors, drift, and deviations in AI systems before they affect the business.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to solve business problems using data-driven quantitative methods.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, experience working with database management systems, and strong software design and development skills.
• Experience fine-tuning large language models is a plus.
• Experience with banking products, such as unsecured personal loans and credit cards, is a plus.
