ACCOUNTABILITIES REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

1. FINANCIAL REPORTING & COMPLIANCE

• Preparing financial statements: Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in compliance with VAS and IFRS Standards.
• Tax compliance and filing: Managing and ensuring accurate tax declarations, computations, and timely filings (VAT, CIT, PIT, WHT, Transfer pricing,...) and representing the company during tax audits.
• Regulatory compliance: Ensuring all accounting practices comply with local laws, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.

2. GENERAL ACCOUNTING AND INTERNAL CONTROL

• Managing accounting operations: Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), Intercompany charge (IC) and asset management.
• Internal controls implementation: Designing, implementing, and maintaining strong internal accounting controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud, and ensure all activities comply with Smollan policies and regulations.
• Year-end audit coordination: Serving as the main point of contact for external auditors and coordinating the year-end financial audit process.
• Contract review: Reviewing client and vendor contracts to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with financial terms.
• Month-end closing procedures: Ensuring timely completion of month-end closing procedures.
• Balance sheet reconciliation: Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
• Ad-hoc tasks: Conducting other financial and accounting tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager

3. BUDGETING & FINANCIAL ANALYSIS

• Budget preparation: Assisting the Finance manager in preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Cost control and analysis: Analyzing financial data, manufacturing costs, and operating expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
• Cash flow management: Monitoring and forecasting cash flow monthly to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity for daily operations and investments

4. LEADERSHIP AND TEAM MANAGEMENT

• Team supervision: Leading, mentoring, and managing the accounting team (senior/junior accountants), evaluating their performance, and organizing training.
• Process optimization: Continuously reviewing and streamlining accounting workflows, policies, and software (SAGE) to improve efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENT:

Qualifications

• Education: University degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or related fields.
• Certification: Valid Chief Accountant Certificate is required; ACCA/CPA/CMA is highly preferred.

Experiences

• Minimum 02-03 years at similar position
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
• Experience in Sage x3 is preferable.
• Understand IFRS and local legislation is an advantage.
