We are looking for a proactive and curious Business Development Intern based in Hanoi to support our inbound tourism projects, local program development, and market research initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who is interested in tourism, hospitality, events, business development, and international markets, and who enjoys connecting with local partners and turning market insights into practical business opportunities.

You will work closely with the business development team to research opportunities, identify and develop local experiences, support inbound tourism projects, and build relationships with potential partners across Hanoi and Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inbound Business Development

• Support research and development of inbound tourism opportunities and projects.
• Research international source markets, customer trends, competitors, and emerging tourism products.
• Identify potential B2B partners, including hotels, restaurants, attractions, tour operators, event organizers, cultural venues, and local service providers.
• Assist in preparing partnership proposals, presentations, and business development materials.
• Support communication and follow-up with prospective local and international partners.
• Maintain and update partner, client, and market databases.

2. Local Program & Experience Development

• Research and identify interesting local experiences, activities, venues, and suppliers in Hanoi and surrounding destinations.
• Assist in developing new tourism programs, itineraries, events, and experiential products for international visitors.
• Conduct site visits and supplier research when required.
• Evaluate potential partners based on quality, pricing, location, capacity, and suitability for international customers.
• Support the team in coordinating pilot programs and testing new experiences.

3. Local Event Development

• Research local festivals, cultural events, exhibitions, performances, sporting events, and community activities relevant to inbound travelers.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate local events into tourism programs and client offerings.
• Support event-related research, partner outreach, scheduling, and coordination.
• Monitor Hanoi's event and tourism calendar and maintain an updated event database.

4. Market Research & Business Intelligence

• Conduct desk research on tourism markets, destinations, competitors, consumer trends, and local business opportunities.
• Collect and organize market information from online and offline sources.
• Analyze findings and prepare concise summaries, reports, and recommendations.
• Track developments in Hanoi's tourism, hospitality, events, and experience economy.

5. General Business Development Support

• Assist with presentations, proposals, quotations, reports, and internal business development documents.
• Support meetings, partner visits, networking activities, and industry events.
• Help with other business development and project-related tasks as required.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, International Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong interest in tourism, events, business development, and international markets.
• Good knowledge of Hanoi and a genuine curiosity about local culture, businesses, and experiences.
• Strong research, communication, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable reaching out to new people and building professional relationships.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken. Vietnamese is required for local partner communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to conduct field research and visit local venues or partners when needed.
