As an Associate Project Manager, you will act as the primary project lead for onsite and remote data collection projects across the APAC region. This role owns end-to-end project delivery while playing a key role in developing and scaling Appen’s data collection initiatives, ensuring high-quality execution, cross-functional alignment, and regulatory compliance across markets.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Overall Project Planning & Delivery Management: Take full charge of the full-cycle planning, implementation and management of embodied AI scenario data collection projects in Hanoi, Vietnam. Decompose project objectives, formulate data collection implementation plans and schedules, oversee daily work of local PA execution teams, and strictly control project progress, data quality and delivery milestones. Ensure on-time, high-quality and full-quantity project delivery, and take overall responsibility for regional project outcomes.

2.Equipment System Management & Operation Maintenance Control: Manage the overall asset management, deployment planning, system construction and standardized implementation of collection hardware equipment in the region. Oversee equipment requisition, batch deployment, regular inspection, centralized troubleshooting and maintenance management. Establish equipment ledgers, operation maintenance standards and loss control mechanisms to ensure stable, normalized and efficient full-scale data collection, and reduce equipment failure rate and operational costs.

3. Data Quality Control & System Construction: Establish and implement unified quality standards, verification specifications, screening procedures and acceptance criteria for AI data collection in Hanoi. Supervise PAs in completing preliminary data review, classified archiving and ledger updates, review daily and weekly data output results, identify data defects and root causes, and organize data rectification and project review optimization. Deliver standardized project reports and quality analysis reports.

4. External & Internal Communication & Resource Coordination: Serve as the core local point of contact in Hanoi, build two-way communication between the domestic headquarters, technical teams, local on-site staff and cooperative resources. Synchronize project requirements, progress, risks and issues in a timely manner, coordinate manpower, equipment, venue and other on-site resources, resolve emergent and blocking problems in project implementation, and ensure efficient and smooth project operation.

5. Process Optimization & Team Management: Sort out the full workflow of local data collection, hardware operation and on-site execution specifications. Summarize common problems, efficiency bottlenecks and quality loopholes in project delivery, and deliver systematic optimization solutions and SOP standards. Responsible for work allocation, daily supervision, skill training and performance assessment of local execution teams, continuously improving team collection efficiency, data accuracy and overall project delivery capability.

6. Risk Control & Project Review: Continuously identify potential risks in project progress, data quality, equipment operation and on-site execution, and formulate pre-emptive response plans to avoid project delay, substandard quality and resource waste. Conduct regular project reviews, summarize practical experience, optimize the execution system, and support the large-scale and standardized operation of AI data projects.

7. Field Business Expansion & Special Support: Oversee off-site data collection, equipment inspection and project implementation in Hanoi and surrounding cities, reasonably arrange business trips, and control the execution quality and progress of off-site projects. Assist the headquarters in bidding document preparation, data compilation and special rectification work, and support the overseas layout and business expansion of the company’s AI data business.

1. Bachelor’s degree or above. Experience in project execution, operation and on-site project management; candidates with experience in embodied data collection, hardware operation and maintenance, and AI industry projects are highly preferred.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (prefer to have other languages such as Chinese/Japanese/Korean, etc), capable of independently communicating and collaborating with cross-departmental and cross-regional teams.
3. Candidates with experience in supply chain and logistics, and familiarity with contract review are preferred.
4. Possess outstanding capabilities in overall project planning, team management, risk control and resource coordination. Logical, meticulous, rigorous and highly stress-resistant. Able to quickly respond and handle various unexpected on-site issues, with independent capabilities to manage and deliver regional projects.
5. Available for full-time on-site work in Hanoi office and business trips within Hanoi and surrounding areas of Vietnam. Able to follow overall company project arrangements, with strong sense of responsibility, result-oriented mindset and excellent teamwork spirit.
