Position Summary

IBK Vietnam is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting & Financial Manager with a strong background in the banking or accounting services sector to join our Accounting & Financial Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with tax and SBV requirements, and supporting financial reporting in accordance with VAS & IFRS standards.

Financial statements in VAS and IFRS conversion

• Supervise financial transactions, expenditures, and accounting workflows to ensure data integrity and full compliance with statutory laws and accounting standards (VAS, SBV and IFRS).

• Analyze and provide financial statements and data-driven insights for the entire banks (HO and branches).

• Design and implement systematic workflows for IFRS reporting on the company's core banking system.

• Review, execute, and manage the conversion of financial statements from VAS to IFRS.

• Formulate plan to audit, review, and control financial closing reports across branches.

• Prepare or review daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary accounting records and explanations

Accounting policy & General ledger Management

• Maintain and control the bank’s accounting system and general ledgers

• Record and reconcile daily banking transactions. Oversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and general ledger entries.

• Ensure accounting entries are properly recorded in accordance with accounting standards and internal controls.

• Formulate and recommend accounting policies and makes recommendations to improve existing accounting system.

Internal Management & Analytical Reporting system

• Prepare internal financial and management reports for Managers.

• Analyze financial data, identify variances, trends, and potential risks

• Other required reports.

Tax Compliance

• Prepare, review, and submit tax declarations in accordance with tax regulations.

• Ensure compliance with Corporate income tax, Value added tax, Personal income tax, withholding tax, and other relevant taxes

• Settting up and issuing the Electronic-invoice system to all customers.

• Coordinate with tax authorities and support tax inspections or audits when required

• Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably within banks or financial institutions.

• Robust knowledge of financial accounting, management accounting, and auditing, with deep expertise in Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

• Strong understanding of banking products, operations, and accounting treatments.

• Up-to-date knowledge of state laws, tax regulations, and government policies governing corporate accounting.

• Leadership & Execution: Solid planning, organizational, and team management skills, with the ability to guide and implement new policies smoothly.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.

• Solid knowledge of accounting standards in IFRS, VAS, banking regulations, and tax laws.

• Professional accounting certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage.

• Proficiency in English for business communication (Korean proficiency is a plus)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.

• Solid knowledge of accounting standards in IFRS, VAS, banking regulations, and tax laws.

• Professional accounting certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage.

• Proficiency in English for business communication (Korean proficiency is a plus)
