Job Summary
Develop and improve food products and packaging, ensuring quality, food safety, and legal compliance, while supporting production and export efficiency (packaging, container loading). Acts as the link between R&D, QA, Production, Marketing, and Sales/Export.
Key Responsibilities
Product R&D:
Research market trends; develop and optimize formulas; run pilot tests and shelf-life studies; explore alternative/cost-saving ingredients.
Packaging Development:
Research packaging materials/trends; develop new packaging structures; manage suppliers, technical drawings, and artwork approval; ensure packaging protection standards.
Export Container Optimization:
Design and maintain container loading plans and packing standards to maximize capacity and minimize damage.
Compliance & Product Registration:
Coordinate with QA/QC on quality/safety indicators; support product registration and labeling documentation.
Production & Cross-Functional Support:
Transfer formulas/processes to the factory; troubleshoot technical issues; collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Export, and Logistics.
Learning & Administration:
Stay current on industry knowledge, share expertise with the team, and complete periodic reports.
Skills:
Analytical & creative problem-solving; project management; cross-functional collaboration; supplier negotiation; reporting/data-driven decision-making; proficient in Word/Excel.
Knowledge:
Bakery, cookies, confectionary development; dried-food processing methods (freeze-drying, spray-drying, etc.) and additives; food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, VSATTP); product registration regulations; export/container logistics.
Attitude:
Disciplined, honest, and accountable; proactive and eager to learn; collaborative team player; able to work independently under pressure; continuous-improvement and results-oriented mindset.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in R&D position (bakery, biscuits, snacks is preferred); export/logistics exposure a plus.
