• Perform duties as assigned by the MEP Engineering Manager/Director.
• Lead the Plumbing & Firefighting team in preparing concept, schematic, basic and detailed design drawings using Revit MEP and/or AutoCAD.
• Manage, supervise and monitor the daily activities of the Plumbing & Firefighting Engineering Team to ensure the quality and timely delivery of engineering services, design documentation and calculations.
• Allocate project resources and workloads within the team and review timesheets as required.
• Ensure all Plumbing & Firefighting designs are undertaken in accordance with project requirements, local regulations, applicable fire codes and international standards.
• Liaise with project architects, structural engineers, MEP disciplines, sub-consultants, contractors and clients throughout all project stages.
• Lead the team in performing hydraulic calculations, water demand calculations, drainage system calculations, firefighting system calculations, equipment sizing and technical analyses.
• Review and verify all design calculations, engineering analyses, equipment selections and system sizing prepared by team members.
• Undertake quality assurance reviews of all drawings, calculations, reports and technical submissions produced by the team.
• Ensure all design documents are reviewed and checked by the MEP Engineering Manager/Director prior to internal or external issuance.
• Lead the preparation of Plumbing & Firefighting design briefs, specifications, design reports, technical schedules and related project documentation.
• Ensure all designs are coordinated with architectural, structural and other MEP disciplines and comply with the approved design brief.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions and technical proposals from contractors and provide technical comments and recommendations.
• Conduct site inspections and attend site meetings as required to verify installation quality, design compliance and construction progress.
• Monitor project progress and maintain daily work records for team activities.
• Submit weekly project progress reports to the MEP Engineering Manager/Director and highlight any risks affecting project schedules or deliverables.
• Assist with the implementation, development and continuous improvement of BIM/Revit workflows within the Plumbing & Firefighting discipline.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's design procedures, quality management systems and professional engineering standards.
• Review technical innovations and design improvement proposals submitted by engineers and recommend suitable solutions to the MEP Engineering Manager/Director.
• Lead the team in preparing equipment and material quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates from the design.
• Review and validate technical schedules and equipment/material data prepared by the team before submission for management approval.
• Mentor, train and provide technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers to support their professional development.
• Ensure all assigned tasks and project deliverables are completed within the agreed timeframe and budget.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience within their specialized discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading MEP Engineering teams within a multinational organization.
• Previous experience working within an Engineering consulting environment, with a clear focus on design experience.
• Degree qualified in Water supply and drainage Engineering.
• Be a licensed Water supply and drainage Engineer, or be eligible to become a licensed Water supply and drainage Engineer.
• Intermediate time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage the time of others and ensure efficiency of organizational processes.
• Intermediate written and spoken communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of design software related to MEP design, including AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Access.
• Site inspection or supervision experience on building construction projects.
• Advanced knowledge of International Building Codes and Design Standards, including environmental building standards (LEED and similar).
• Intermediate leadership skills with the ability to manage teams with a strong results orientation.
• Intermediate written and spoken English skills are also required.
